(Sports news, tennis news) Djokovic was tired of seeing his coach, Mr. Goran Ivanisevic, not honored by the ATP in the coach of the year category.
Recently, ATP awarded the best coach of 2023 to the couple Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi. They currently act as coaches for tennis player Jannik Sinner.

This makes Djokovic unable to be satisfied, when he and coach Goran Ivanisevic will have even greater success in 2023. Writing on his personal Instagram page, "Nole" sarcastically criticized ATP:
"I want to congratulate Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi for their wonderful season with Sinner. Goran Ivanisevic, I guess we need to win all the Grand Slams in 2023 to even think about winning the coaching title best of the year. 3 Grand Slam titles and 1 World Tour Finals championship are not enough."

In other developments, Djokovic recently participated in an interview with a CBS program. When asked why he wanted to help his opponents by establishing the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA), the Serbian tennis player shared deeply:
"I have more than what I need. Meanwhile, players ranked outside the top 200 in the world are extremely struggling. They don't have enough money to hire a coach, can't go abroad to compete regularly. This causes them to miss out on many playgrounds. Many potential players even have to give up their careers. They cannot meet the financial needs."
Three years ago, Djokovic and Vasek Popisil jointly founded the PTPA to protect the rights of tennis players, especially those struggling to make a living. Thanks to that, tennis players participating in professional tournaments are less likely to face difficulties in terms of prize money and competition schedules.
Young tennis player Hamad Medjedovic, winner of Next Gen ATP Finals 2023, received a lot of help from Djokovic. Hamad Medjedovic's father revealed that "Nole" supported his son in every way, from financial to spiritual, to help Hamad Medjedovic become what he is today.
2023 marks a successful season for players over 30 years old. According to statistics, there are 7 players over 30 years old who won ATP titles, compared to 17 players in 2022, and 15 players in 2021.
Novak Djokovic, 36 years old, is of course the most successful player of the season with 7 ATP titles, but he is only ranked 3rd on the list of oldest stars to win.
